Writtn ("we", "our", "the app") is a web application that helps users encounter and reflect on Bible verses. This policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your information.

When you sign in with Google:

• Your name and email address (from your Google account)
• Your profile photo URL (if available)

When you use the app:

• Verses you save to your collection
• Journal entries you write
• Your app settings (theme, soak time)
• Anonymous usage statistics (verses viewed, time spent, streak count)

We do not collect passwords, payment information, or location data.

2. How We Use Your Information

• Personalization: To save your favorites, journals, and settings
• Cloud sync: To sync your data across devices when you sign in
• Analytics: To understand how the app is used and improve the experience (usage data is non-identifiable)

We do not sell, share, or rent your personal data to third parties.

3. Where Your Data Is Stored

• Locally: Your data is stored in your browser's local storage (IndexedDB and localStorage)
• Cloud: If you sign in, your data is synced to Google Firebase (Firestore), hosted on Google Cloud infrastructure

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

• Google Firebase — Authentication (Google Sign-In) and cloud data storage (Firestore)
• Vercel — Web hosting and content delivery
• Google Fonts — Typography (Crimson Pro, Inter)

Each of these services has its own privacy policy. We encourage you to review them.

5. Data Retention

Your data remains stored as long as you use the app. You can delete your local data at any time by clearing your browser data. To request deletion of cloud-stored data, please contact us.

6. Your Rights

• Access: You can export all your data at any time from the app's Settings
• Deletion: You can request deletion of your account and all associated data
• Portability: Export your data in CSV or Markdown format

7. Children's Privacy

Writtn is suitable for all ages but is not specifically directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "last updated" date.
